Ok, this made me weepy.

Some new friends flagged me down in the hallway and dropped this on my lap. Totally at a loss for words.

You really hope the hard work matters and to receive something like this from people you’ve never even met is maybe the greatest thing. I can’t think of a higher compliment.

Here’s the deal. SPX is a show where people exhibit sell, share and trade comics. But what the show is really ABOUT is people. People and relationships and a true connection.

Sometimes we make that connection through someone’s work. Sometimes through conversation or even
just text on a screen.

This is what makes SPX special. This is what makes us family. This is why we are here. So thank you to my new friends for getting me to stop and sit and remember that in and amongst worries over register tape, who needs change, who is lost, etc.

And thank you to all of our exhibitors, attendees, volunteers, vendors and staff. My friend Joe said it best last night, “SPX is a show built on enthusiasm.” That is so true. It is honest. It is infectious and you guys are where it comes from.

Thank you for being here and for making SPX possible!
